Windy Village
Missions Statement To influence Windy Village over a period of four or five years towards spiritual, emotional and physical wholeness producing community hope, respect for others and self sufficiency.
The "church with no walls" in Windy Village is not only a physical description of the building but a philosophy. The church in this village five kilometres from Kampong Cham is an active and vibrant group of believers bringing hope to their community.
The church doubles as a community centre where many life skills are taught, clothes are distributed, emergency medical situations accessed and hungry tummies are filled. The community now enjoys constant access to a clean water supply after the sinking of two new wells in the village. Launched in April 2006 the 'Food 4 Everyone' feeding project supplies hot meals to approximately 300 children, widows and needy every Thursday and Sunday with packet noodles being distributed on Tuesday. F4E also boosts the regions economy by buying the food locally and employing five locals as cooks.
